Keston Davies has challenged Swansea City Under-23s to end their title-winning season on a high with a win against Stoke City on Saturday (2pm).
Victory at the bet365 Stadium would see the young Swans claim their 17th Premier League 2 win of the season and finish top of Division 2 with over 50 points.
Goals from Oli McBurnie and Alex Samuel helped the development side to a 2-1 victory when the sides met at Landore in October.
And despite sewing up the title and gaining promotion, the U23s captain wants to sign off the campaign on a winning note.
“It has always been our aim to reach that target of 50 points,” he said. “We might have won the league and gained promotion, but we still want to continue our winning mentality and end the season on a high.
“We have worked hard in the build up to this game and we will be pushing hard to get another win and reach the target we have set ourselves.
“We won’t be approaching the game with any different a mentality than we did for the first game of the season.
“As captain, I am massively proud of what we have achieved this season. We have worked so hard on and off the pitch to win the title, so losing the last game of the season is not an option.”
