McBurnie nominated for PL2 Player of the Season

Swansea City striker Oli McBurnie has been nominated for this season's Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.
The 20-year-old netted 23 goals in all competitions this campaign, including two debut first-team goals in the EFL Cup against Peterborough in August.
McBurnie’s impressive form in front of goal helped lead Swansea City Under-23s to the Premier League 2 Division 2 title and the Premier League Cup.

McBurnie, who has also made five Premier League appearances this campaign, scooped January’s PL2 Player of the Month award and this week claimed Swansea City’s Young Player of the Year at the club’s end of season awards.

Other nominees for the PL2 Player of the Season award include: Mason Mount (Chelsea), Liam Walsh (Everton), Axel Tuanzebe (Manchester United), Todd Cantwell (Norwich City), Josh Sims (Southampton), Joel Asoro (Sunderland), Domingos Quina (West Ham United), Marcus Browne (West Ham United), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Ben Woodburn (Liverpool).

The winner will be announced later this month.
