Swansea City fans have the chance to get their hands on a signed pair of Lukasz Fabianski’s match-worn goalkeeper gloves via a special charity auction.
Kristoffer Nordfeldt and Gerhard Tremmel have also donated signed gloves alongside academy youngsters Gregor Zabret and Lewis Thomas to help raise money for Welsh charity – Cost of Cancer.
26 pairs of signed gloves are available to bid for through the online auction including Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, Premier League title winner Kasper Schmeichel and Wales shot-stopper Wayne Hennessy.
The auction was set up by head of academy goalkeeping Andrew Sparkes following the sad death of his mother, Greta, to cancer in February.
"I was trying to think about how I could raise money for the charity in memory of my mother and came up with the idea of auctioning off signed goalkeeper gloves,” he said.
“Our lads very kindly donated and I contacted other clubs via their first-team and academy coaches, who have also kindly contributed.
“I have been overwhelmed by the response so far with over £2,000 raised in less than four days."
