Keeper cleans up at awards night

Michel Vorm claimed a hat-trick of trophies at Swansea City's annual awards dinner on Thursday night.

The Dutch keeper was crowned Supporters' Player of the Year in the function held at the Liberty Stadium, run in conjunction with the Supporters Trust and Executive Fundraising Committee.

Following a hugely impressive season since his £1.5million move from Utrecht last summer, the Dutch international also won his team-mates approval by landing the Players' Player accolade.

To cap off his evening, Vorm also took the Away Player of the Year award to crown a major haul of trophies for the Penalty Killer.

Midfielder Joe Allen scooped the Young Player gong after yet another fine campaign.

Allen has enjoyed his finest season as a Swan, scoring three times in 39 appearances as he continues to mature both on the domestic and international stage.

Club record signing Danny Graham repaid the £3.5million fee the Swans spent last summer on securing his services from Watford as he claimed the Top Goalscorer trophy.

The striker has hit 13 goals this season - 11 in the Premier League - which have proved crucial in helping the Swans retain their spot in the top flight.

The goal of the season award went to Gylfi Sigurdsson for his opener at Wigan.

Centre-back Scott Tancock was named Youth Development Player of the Year after impressing with performances in Tony Pennock's Youth team and Alan Curtis's Reserves outfit.

Meanwhile, defender Ashley Williams retained his Club Ambassador accolade.

Williams has been impressive off the pitch as he has been on it this season as he continues to work tirelessly on his own charity - WillsWorld.

Finally, club chaplain and matchday announcer Kevin Johns was rewarded with the Lifetime Achievement award following his superb service to the Swans.
