Michael Laudrup watched on from the stands as the Swans kicked off their pre-season preparations with a 5-0 win at Port Talbot.
Stephen Dobbie netted a first-half hat-trick, which included two penalties, while Leroy Lita and substitute Henry Jones claimed the others.
The Swans head to America on Sunday afternoon to begin their tour stateside, which includes games against the Colorado Rapids, Ventura County Fusion and San Jose Earthquakes.
PORT TALBOT: Richards, Biddescombe, Belle, Bloom, Keddle, Payne, Harling, Saunders, Brooks, Thomas, Griffiths.
SWANS: David Cornell, Curtis Obeng, Scott Tancock, Darnel Situ, Daniel Alfei, Kemy Agustien, Mark Gower, Andrea Orlandi, Stephen Dobbie, Leroy Lita, Luke Moore.
Subs: Oliver Davies, Ben Davies, Jazz Richards, Lee Lucas, Henry Jones, James Loveridge, Rory Donnelly, Gwion Edwards.
On a sunny afternoon in South Wales it was the visitors who got off to a flying start as they opened up a two-goal lead inside six minutes.
In the fourth minute a surging run from Curtis Obeng from inside the Port Talbot half took the full-back inside the box before he was tripped by Cortez Belle. And from the resulting spot-kick, Stephen Dobbie made no mistake to put the Swans in front.
Just two minutes later and the visitors doubled their advantage as Leroy Lita latched onto a wonderful through pass to slide a left foot finish into the far corner.
Port Talbot defender Belle then saw his header comfortably saved by David Cornell shortly after, as the Swans knocked the ball around comfortably on a difficult surface.
Midway through the opening period and the Swans were awarded their second penalty of the afternoon as Lita was hauled down inside the box. Dobbie stepped up again and put the ball to the keeper’s left for his second of the game.
Just a few minutes later and the visitors grabbed their fourth, as Dobbie played a wonderful one-two with Orlandi before coolly slotting the ball past Richards.
The Scot had another two chances before the interval to extend the Swans’ lead, but he saw both of his efforts comfortably saved by the keeper.
Half time: Port Talbot 0 Swans 4
SWANS 2ND HALF: David Cornell, Daniel Alfei, Scott Tancock, Ben Davies, Jazz Richards, Darnel Situ, Lee Lucas, Stephen Dobbie, James Loveridge, Rory Donnelly, Gwion Edwards.
After a number of substitutions at the break, the tempo of the game slowed down but it was the visitors who were still in control.
Youngster Gwion Edwards looked lively on the right flank as he looked to attack the full-back at every opportunity, while Lee Lucas and Jazz Richards controlled the midfield.
Stephen Dobbie saw a powerful drive well saved by the keeper before he was substitute on the hour mark, being replaced by young Henry Jones.
And it was the 18-year-old that made an instant impression as he scored the Swans’ fifth goal. After running onto a ball just outside the box the midfielder struck a low right-foot shot that gave the keeper no chance.
As the game drifted to a conclusion, James Loveridge curled a shot wide after Rory Donnelly had missed a great chance when one-one-one with the keeper.
Overall, it was a comfortable win for the Swans as they kicked off their pre-season campaign in style.
