Please find below vital travel information for Swans supporters attending Europa League tie in Napoli.
The club, in partnership with South Wales Police, have been working with the British Consulate in Naples, Napoli and the Italian police department to manage, as far as possible, the safety and security of Swans supporters during their trip to Italy.
By following the simple guidance notes below, we are confident the risk to our travelling supporters will be low and they will enjoy their visit to Naples.
A convoy of buses are being operated to the Stadio San Paolo to transport Swans fans from Stazione Marittima. The port area Stazione Marittima, which is the main docking area of the port, is located close to the city centre, where there is a shopping mall with some bars and restaurants.
The convoy of buses will depart from Stazione Marittima at 5pm (local time), where supporters will be able to travel for free, providing they are in possession of a valid away match ticket. Supporters are advised to arrive at the port area Stazione Marittima for 4pm - an hour prior to departure.
It is highly recommended that all away supporters use the convoy of buses to get to and from the stadium – before and after the match.
The nearest metro station to the Stadio San Paolo is Campi Flegrei but we strongly advise that away fans utilise the convoy of buses being operated as detailed above.
In general, our advice to supporters is to take care and use common sense. Fans should travel in groups and are advised not to wear club colours away from the game, particularly on public transport.
All away fans need to enter the stadium via gate 26 from Viale Marconi, where all transportation for away supporters can be parked during the game. Viale Marconi is also where the specially arranged convoy of buses will operate to and from.
Please note, Napoli stewards will undertake a ticket and photo ID check before you can proceed through the turnstiles, where body and bag searches will be conducted. Swansea stewards will also be on hand to offer assistance. They will be located in the Port area Stazione Marittima, at the turnstiles and in the visitors section of the stadium. Please note, all away supporters must show a form of Photographic ID, such as passport or driving licence, as well as their match ticket to gain entry to the stadium.Further information can be found HERE
