One of the main reasons that Stephen Francis joined the 1912 Foundation was to help the club's youth department.
Having paid his £2.25 towards the cause religiously every week, his generosity was rewarded when he walked away with a cool £5,000 after being randomly selected from one of the weekly rollover draws.
His success was hot on the heels of fellow Swans fan Peter Rogers who, only two months earlier, was the winner of the Foundation's annual £10,000 prize.
And this latest reward came at a good time for Stephen, who'd barely won a thing in the past.
"We were desperate for a new boiler so this has come at a fantastic time," he said. "It certainly saves us from dipping into the savings.
"The most that I've ever won was £200 so this was a very pleasant surprise.
"I had a message to contact the club urgently and when I did I was told that I'd won.
"It didn't even enter my head at first that I might have won with the 1912. I've had two £10 cheques through the post in the past but winning this was brilliant."
Mr Francis used to be a member of staff at the club in recent years, starting at the Vetch Field in 1998 by meeting members of the press before spending the first few years at the Liberty in a similar role.
As a fan of the club he has always taken an interest in the club's youth team and believes that the 1912 Foundation offers a great opportunity to help towards funding for the club's future stars.
And his message to supporters who have yet committed to the cause is to simply "give it a go."
"Someone has got to win the big prizes," he adds. "It may not be as big as the lottery but it's a nice sum nonetheless."
