Complaints and Grievance Procedure

Posted on: Fri 15 Aug 2008

We would hope that your son's / ward's experience with the club would be both enjoyable and fruitful.

Occasionally, however, a player or parent / guardian might become unhappy or feel aggrieved with some aspect relating to their involvement with the club. Should this occur, the procedure described below should be adopted.

  • If the issue relates to progress or performance, the parent / guardian should contact the coach associated with the son / ward's age group in the first instance (Please do not approach the coach on a match day because he will be involved with the squad i.e. before, during and after the game).

  • Deliver a note / letter to the coach via your son / ward to be forwarded to the coach before a practice session. The coach will contact the parent / guardian after the session in order to agree on an appropriate time to discuss any concern.

  • Should the matter fail to be resolved, you may contact the Centre of Excellence Co-ordinator, Tony Avo, in the first instance and then IN WRITING to Tony Pennock, the Head of Youth Development.

  • If the matter concerns Education / Welfare or Admin please contact Tony Thomas (Ed/ Welfare, Youth Admin Officer) at the club.
