Swansea City Ladies go in search of the first Welsh Premier Women's League title today which has an added benefit of European football, writes Robert Clement.
The Swans take on north Wales section qualifiers Caernarfon Town at Haverfordwest's New Bridge Meadow (2pm) hoping to lift the trophy following the formation of the league last September.
Swansea have enjoyed a successful nine months under manager Ian Owen who has been the figurehead with Ladies football at the club for a number of seasons.
In the Southern section group, he has reaped rewards of back-to-back wins against fellow contenders UWIC, Newcastle Emlyn and Manorbier with the team maintaining top spot throughout the campaign.
"We're all really looking forward to the game, it's something that we've been building towards all season," said Owen.
"Our performances in the new Premier league have been really good and the squad are now eagerly awaiting the final.
"It's a credit to the club to have won all six games in the southern group, and it's not easy to secure a record like that if everybody isn't pulling in the right direction."

Victory against the Canaries would cap a fantastic end to a fantastic season with the prospect of European qualification, but the Ladies boss has his sights firmly fixed on Sunday's showdown.
He added: "It's a big carrot for everybody concerned, with the chance of playing in a European competition but we're not looking to far ahead.
"We're aware that Caernarfon will be tough opposition so we'll certainly be prepared for a very competitive game.
"We've conceded only one goal in the campaign [at Newcastle Emlyn] so the defensive record says it all. We have a disciplined back line which has worked hard to keep five clean sheets.
"Hopefully the right result will be forthcoming, the competition has certainly been a breathe of fresh air and we would certainly like to see the season off with a good result."
Admission at Haverfordwest will be £3 for adults but free for under-16's and concessions.
