Laura May Walkley was Swansea City's heroine as they outshone Caernarfon Town in the play-off final of the Welsh Premier Women's Football League, reports Robert Clement.
The midfielder fired a hat-trick at Haverfordwest with Sarah Adams also on target for Ian Owen's side.
The reward for the 4-0 victory is entry into next season's Uefa Women's Champions League preliminary round which allows Swansea their first representation into European football since 1991.
The Swansea starting line-up showed one major change following their final Southern qualifying 2-0 victory at Manorbier in March, with Laura Davies replacing established Gemma Border in goal with the regular shot stopper failing to recover from a broken foot.
Swansea were swiftly into their attacking stride, gaining a 10th minute free-kick after Walkley had been obstructed by Caernarfon's Elen King, Sarah Adams then brought goalkeeper Elena Julio quickly into action as she forced her into pushing away the 30-yard well struck scoring attempt.
The momentum was maintained four minutes later when Adams linked well with Lindsay Morgan and Walkley, having shown good attacking ability, fired narrowly wide from eight-yards.
Play continued to be confined to Caernarfon territory and when Walkley, having mesmerised the north Walian defence with a series of twists and turns in the goalmouth, the supporting Rachel Rowe was a whisker away from making the crucial impact.
Swansea's attacking persistence saw them finally open their account on 27 minutes when Adams unleashed a 25-yard shot which Julio had no chance of stopping.
With Swansea's bid to land the title up and running with that opener, a second goal was forthcoming two minutes later when a right-sided Adams cross was met by Walkley who superbly headed home from close-range.
Having established the ideal two goal platform, the Swans were close to adding a third with Welsh International full back Alicia Powe sending a long range shot on target which Julio did well to save.
The Canaries attempted to find a route back into the game during the second period and it required timely tackles from Natalie Ashford and Tija Richardson to prevent frontrunner Iona Williams from reducing Swansea's worthy lead.
Walkley, the former Arsenal midfielder, then struck with her second goal six minutes from the end when, after Morgan had collided with Julio just inside the penalty area, she was alert and ideally positioned to send a looping delivery into the unguarded net.
Additional Walkley persistence paid off with the reward of the match ball three minutes into added on time with a long 30-yard delivery zipping past the Caernarfon 'keeper following a move engineered by Powe.
