Swans boss Roberto Martinez saw his side turn in their best tour display so far with a five-star showing against the Alphense Boys of Holland.
Two goals from Guillem 'Bussy' Bauza and a trio from Jason Scotland, Matty Collins and Paul Anderson set things up perfectly for their final and toughest tour test against Sparta Rotterdam on Wednesday night (7.30pm)."
''We have improved with every game so far on this tour,'' explained Roberto. ''Our tempo was much higher tonight, but that's what pre-season is all about. It was another good exercise and to score five goals was obviously a bonus.''
Roberto cut his squad back to 13 for the third tour game with Scotland continuing his comeback from injury with an impressive first-half display alongside the hard-working Bussy.
And it was that striking combination which sent Swansea on their way to victory with a stunning shot after 25 minutes which struck the crossbar. As it rebounded down, Bussy was perfectly placed to head home from close range.
With the Swans dominating, Bussy hit the bar himself with an overhead kick which saw Kristian O'Leary's follow up ruled out for offside, while Anderson fired just wide of the top corner. Then Scotland had a header disallowed for offside, before his second effort sent the Swans into a 2-0 lead five minutes from the interval from a Bussy cross.
The home side pulled one back on the stroke of half-time when Chris Langeveld got in behind trialist Doba Lezou to lob Willy Gueret, but Swansea never looked like losing the encounter.
They stepped it up another gear after the break as Bussy hit the post early on. He wasn't to be denied his second, however, as he was brought down inside the area latching onto an Anderson pass. The Spaniard picked himself up to slot home the penalty to make it 3-1 with 65 minutes gone.
A superb 25-yard free-kick from Matty Collins made it 4-1 in the 72nd minute before Roy van de Berg caught the Swans on the break to reduce the arrears two minutes from time.
The impressive Anderson had the last word, however, when he latched on to a great ball from Kerry Morgan to fire home Swansea's fifth on the stroke of full-time.
Swans: Gueret, Collins, Austin, Watt, Lezou (Evans 45mins), Anderson, O'Leary, Craney, Allen, Scotland (Morgan 45 mins), Bauza.
