Striker Jason Scotland capped a sensational season by scooping the Player of the Year trophy at the club's annual awards dinner last night.

The Trinidad and Tobago hit-man walked away with three awards in the Evening Post sponsored event run in conjunction with the Supporters' Trust.

Scotland, who has scored 29 goals at the Liberty Stadium since moving from St Johnstone, also won the Away Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer awards.

Captain Garry Monk was voted Players' Player of the Year after a superb season at the heart of the Swans' defence.

Liverpool flyer Paul Anderson capped off his season-long loan by picking up the Young Player of the Year accolade.

New Welsh international Owain Tudur Jones was commended for his patience in his battle against injury and his work off the field by scooping the Clubman of the Year award.

The final presentation of the evening saw Professor David Farmer receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The club's president is also the club historian and has written a number of books about the Swans.

There was one special award made to manager Roberto Martinez who was presented with an outstanding achievement award for taking the Swans into the Championship.
