Serran completes move
Swansea City have today completed their sixth summer signing after Spanish defender Albert Serran completed his move from Espanyol B.
The central defender has signed a long-term contract in a deal worth around £80,000.
It takes Swansea's pre-season spending to nearly £800,000 after the arrival of Ashley Williams, Gorka Pintado, Jordi Gomez, Mark Gower and Fede Bessone.
Serran, 23, made two appearances in La Liga for Espanyol before continuing his development at Espanyol B.
"Albert is perfect for the British game,'' explained Roberto. "He is a committed and aggressive defender; a winner; talented and ambitious - and that is the type of player we want at Swansea City.
"He could have taken an easier option by signing closer to home for a La Liga club - and even had the option of going to Poland - but he wants to play in the Premiership with Swansea.''

He joins former Espanyol players Guillem Bauza, Bessone and new loan signing Gomez at the Liberty Stadium for the campaign.
"I'm pleased to sign for Swansea,'' explained Serran. "I wanted the chance to experience British football and I'm sure I will be happy at Swansea.
"I was a close friend of Bussy (Guillem Bauza) when we played together for two years at Espanyol.
"Obviously his influence - and the Spanish influence at the club in general - helped me make my decision a lot easier to sign, but it was an opportunity too good to turn down.
"As a defender I like to play the ball out from the back, so Swansea's style should suit me.
"I've enjoyed the training here and I can't wait to get started.''

Serran joined the rest of the squad today on their new training pitch at Llandarcy (pictured).
The club invested around £300,000 on the playing surface 12 months ago and includes a pitch exactly the same size as the one at the Liberty Stadium.
"The surface is fantastic,'' beamed Roberto. "It was a pleasure to train there today and all the boys were impressed.''
