Striker Gorka Pintado got off to a flying start as a fully-fledged Swan after grabbing a hat-trick in a 6-0 win against Ostersund in Sweden tonight.
Pintado, pictured right, struck three times within the first 32 minutes of his Swans debut to signal his arrival from Spanish side Granada.
Guillem Bauza added two more in the second half before another new signing, Mark Gower, grabbed the sixth.
The only down side to the club's opening pre-season friendly saw defender Marcos Painter break his nose in an accidental collision two minutes from time, although the injury is not serious.
"It was a great exercise,'' explained Swans boss Roberto Martinez. "The boys played really well.
"Ostersund are midway through their season and were young and very fit, so it was a good work out for us.
"The hospitality was also excellent and it was great to see a few Swans fans there from our supporters group out here in Sweden.''
As for Pintado's flying start, Roberto had nothing but praise for the striker nicknamed El Toro, the Spanish bull!
"All three goals were well taken and different,'' added Roberto. "The first was a one-on-one with the 'keeper; the second a volley from a Chris Jones cross; and the third a thunderbolt from a close-range free-kick.''
Swansea will continue their training week in Sweden before flying home on Sunday.
