Scotland's in a right sweat
Swansea City are currently on a seven-day tour of Spain which takes in games against Espanyol, Palamos, Peralada and Barcelona B. And as Roberto Martinez prepares his troops for the forthcoming Championship campaign, our official website team will be keeping you right up to date with a daily diary that get right up close and personal with the squad.
Day 3
Jason Scotland's hopes of a relaxing week away in the sun have been blasted out of the Spanish water.
Having undergone an operation in Germany to cure a stomach muscle problem two weeks before flying out to Spain, the Trinidad and Tobago international has been put through his paces by Swans physio Richie Evans.
Scotland was put through five separate sessions yesterday in the gym and the training ground in a bid to get him ready for the start of the season.
Last season's top scorer with 29 goals has been a sad figure walking through the hotel lobby drowning in his own perspiration.
Couple with the fact that he's without doubt the loudest player on tour, it's made the rest of the squad roar with laughter as he complains bitterly about the schedule.
The biggest laugh came at the end of last night's training session. As the squad boarded the bus ready for the trip back to the hotel, Scotland was told to wait behind.
Even Scotland raised a smile when Richie told him he was running back to the hotel. The smile didn't last long through when Scotland realised he was serious.
So as the rest of the squad waved goodbye through the windows of the coach, Scotland and Richie set off for the 6km run home.
A dripping Scotland eventually emerged as the squad sat down for dinner. And, in typical Scotland style, he was complaining bitterly and threatening to phone the PFA about his treatment.
Not that he received any sympathy.

The Spanish media descended on the hotel yesterday afternoon to catch up with the squad before their games against Espanyol, Palamos, Peralada and Barcelona B.
Not surprisingly, Roberto Martinez was the centre of attention as he reeled through a long list of interviews.
Then it was the turn of Swansea's Spanish playing contingent - all seven of them if you include Argentinian-born Spanish speaker Fede Bessone who plied his trade with Barcelona, Gimnastic and Espanyol B.
The Swans have been enjoying plenty of column inches in the local press in Spain, plus a double-page spread in one of the national papers.
To finish off, there was a unique photograph (below) with the Spanish contingent, including Roberto, which was set to adorn the papers again.

Ferrie Bodde has been as lively as ever, hitting back at claims from his room-mate Dorus de Vries that his snoring caused the earthquake here in Spain the other night.
The Swans 'keeper reckons he can't get any sleep because Ferrie's snoring is so loud, only for his fellow Dutchman to hit back claiming he's doing Dorus a favour by sharing a room with him.
Ferrie reckons Dorus is afraid to be on his own - at home and abroad - stating that the 6ft giant is afraid of the dark!
Swans chairman Huw Jenkins and his fellow directors and guests arrived at the team hotel on Thursday after sharing their early morning Bristol flight with a plane packed full of singing Swans fans.
Having settled into the hotel, they quickly realised why Roberto chose the tranquil location - it's in the middle of nowhere.
Now why the quiet location may be perfect for his playing squad to focus on the job ahead, it was a bit too quite for the non-playing members of the tour.
Luckily, the hotel staff recommended a trip into the local town where a good meal and a bit of nightlife was guaranteed.
So off the mini-bus went - a mini-bus they had already dented and scratched earlier in the day as they made a crashing exit from Girona airport to the hotel.
Having been dropped off by a member of the hotel staff in "the centre of the nightlife'', they joined the rest of the town in the local square.
The only problem was, the nightlife consisted of watching a film on a giant screen out in the open.
And forget your state of the art Plasma screen, this was a giant sheet stretched from one tree to another.
And the film, if you're wondering, was Dustin Hoffman's Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium - in Spanish!
It's a story of a magical toy shop owner. But the only thing that sprung to life on the night were the toys itself.
Needless to say, it wasn't long before they were back at the hotel to watch Barcelona thrash Hibs 6-0; much to the delight of the Spanish contingent.
