Swans put five past Newport
Tony Pennock's youngster put the midweek defeat at Merthyr Tydfil behind them with a resounding 5-0 victory over Newport County this afternoon.
Casey Thomas bagged a hat-trick while Jordan Prosser fired a brace against last seasons South West Counties Youth League champions at Sketty Lane.
It was Thomas who had the game's first chance on two minutes after being put through by Lee Lucas but his shot was deflected wide of the target.
The deadlock was broken on 11 minutes as Jordan Prosser fired under the 'keeper from Joe Harris' knock down and the two linked up again 15 minutes later as Harris again set up Prosser to score his second.
A third goal was added just before the break through Casey Thomas who rounded the 'keeper and fired into an empty net.
Thomas scored his second of the afternoon on 51 minutes as he chased onto a long ball and headed past the goalkeeper, and the Port Talbot-born starlet grabbed his third of the afternoon four minutes from time from the penalty spot after Lee Lucas was grounded.
Next up for Pennock and his players is the trip to Southern League Premier Division side Clevedon Town next Saturday (August 2).
