Hail the Prince of Wales
Swansea City are currently on a seven-day tour of Spain which takes in games against Espanyol, Palamos, Peralada and Barcelona B. And as Roberto Martinez prepares his troops for the forthcoming Championship campaign, our official website team will be keeping you right up to date with a daily diary that get right up close and personal with the squad.
Day 4
The Swans received plenty of publicity in the Spanish national newspapers ahead of last night's opening friendly against Espanyol.
One national paper, La Vanguardia, carried a full page on the Swans with an interview with Roberto and a picture of his Spanish contingent.
The headline read, translated of course: 'Roberto, The Prince of Wales'
If he gets Swansea promoted again this season to the Premiership, he'll probably be crowned 'King of Wales'. Well in South West Wales anyway!

Roberto . . . The Prince of Wales! |
Room-mates Darren Pratley and Marcos Painter had to undergo a 30-second makeover before setting off for last night's game against Espanyol.
With the squad all ready to board the coach and looking the part in their new black Umbro polo shirts, the duo had to make a mad dash back to their room for a quick change.
With the squad all black out, Paints and Prats turned up in sparkling white tops, obviously out to make an impression!
As they dashed off, the general consensus was that they wouldn't be playing Mastermind in that room on tour.
The customary six-a-side tour game went ahead with Swans physio Richie Evans, coach Colin Pascoe and masseur Oscar Brau joining the press to take on chairman Huw Jenkins, vice-chairman Leigh Dineen and their distinguished guests.
With Survivor's Eye of the Tiger blaring in the background, the staff and press were starting to edge ahead in the scoring stakes.
And as the sun and heat started to take its toll on the men from the boardroom, the staff and press were well in control - until the game got abandoned that was.
With the chairman's frustration growing and the staff and press about to be declared champions, their moment of glory was snatched away after the chairman somehow managed to kick the ball out of the court and onto the roof of the hotel.
With the ball lost and accusations of ball tampering flying around the pitch, the chairman retired to the pool. Well it was his ball anyway!

There was at least one positive to come out of the defeat against Espanyol - at least the club won't have to display a huge prawn in the Liberty Stadium trophy cabinet when they get back.
The winners of last night's game at Palamos Stadium were competing for the Gamba de Plata de Palamos, which translated means the Palamos Prawn.
The giant red trophy represents Palamos's greatest export.
The only problem was, while they escaped the giant version of the trophy, Andrea Orlandi had to accept a smaller copy (pictured above) on behalf of the club in honour of the game.

Fellow Spaniard Guillem Bauza was walking around the hotel last night with a permanent reminder of the Espanyol game.
While Bussy was welcomed back to his old club with open arms, along with the other Spanish players, he left sporting a swollen black eye after a stray elbow caught him full in the face.
Welcome home.
Another familiar face watching the Espanyol game was Wales boss John Toshack.
The former Swans boss was in the crowd after driving over from Majorca for a holiday.
He also hinted he could watch the Swans again before they return home.
