Result: Swans 0 West Brom 0
Kristian O'Leary's Testimonial game against West Bromwich Albion finished 0-0 in the first pre-season game at the Liberty Stadium.
The man himself went off after just 14 minutes as he has been suffering with flu, but the game itself was a good exercise for Roberto and his squad as they prepare for life in the Championship.
Both sides played out an even first-half and, despite an improved second-half performance from the home side, the deadlock wasn't broken in this clash against the Premiership new-boys.
Leon Britton missed out on this game with the flu, Gorka Pintado was unavailable after picking up an injury at Chester on Thursday while Fede Bessone also sat out.
But there was a welcome return to Jason Scotland as last seasons top-scorer made the bench following a stomach operation earlier in pre-season.
There was also a place amongst the substitutes for trialist goalkeeper Derek Soutar.

It was an even start to the game with both sides sharing an equal amount of possesion, but on 8 minutes Tom Butler and Guillem Bauza linked up and almost created an opening for the home side. De Vries' long clearance was cleverly brought down by Butler and his neat one-two with Bauza sent him on a run to the by-line, he crossed into the heart of the area but the ball was cleared away from danger.
Kristian O'Leary was struggling with the flu before coming into this game and on 14 minutes was replaced by Darren Pratley and received a standing ovation from the crowd.
The home side had their first proper chance four minutes later as Jordi Gomez raced on to Guillem Bauza's flick on, but the on-loan Espanyol midfielder couldn't direct his effort on target.
Gomez was involved in the build-up to the Swans' next chance on 20 minutes as he set-up Tom Butler to cut inside and force Dean Kiely into making a save low to his right-hand side, pushing the ball wide for a corner.
Down at the other end, meanwhile, James Morrison unleashed a powerful strike from 25-yards which was dealt with by De Vries while Chris Brunt, set-up from Kim-do Heon's free-kick, fired wide on half an hour.
On 37 minutes Guillem Bauza played in Gomez who shrugged off the challenge of two defenders before firing low at Kiely from 20-yards and with little over three minutes left on the clock Bussy had a chance of his own. Mark Gower flew down the left flank and jinxed his way past two defenders before crossing to Bauza, the striker took one touch before firing over the top of Kiely's goal.
Half-time: Swansea City 0 West Brom 0

Just the one change at half-time as Joe Allen comes on to replace Jordi Gomez in the centre of midfield.
On 49 minutes Ashley Williams' long ball forward was deflected to Marcos Painter making strides down the left, his deep cross found the unmarked Bauza in the area but he directed his close-range effort straight at substitute 'keeper Scott Carson. Ferrie Bodde's trickery inside the area then set-up Joe Allen on 54 minutes but the Wales Under-21 international couldn't hit the target.
With a little over an hour on the clock Roberto changed things round as he brought Febian Brandy on to replace Ferrie Bodde, changing the formation from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2.
The visitors had their best chance of the half on 68 minutes as full-back Paul Robinson's header from Chris Brunt's corner drifted wide of the Swansea goal.
Further changes were made with quarter of an hour remaining, Craig Beattie came on for West Brom while the Swans replaced Mark Gower and Garry Monk with Andrea Orlandi and Albert Serran.
On 79 minutes Darren Pratley came agonizingly close after being set-up by Febian Brandy and with 10 minutes to go Jason Scotland was introduced for the first time this season, replacing Guillem Bauza.
Alan Tate and Shaun MacDonald were brought on as late replacements but, despite a dominant second-half performance from the Swans, the game ended goalless.
