Swans boss Roberto Martinez isn't expecting an easy ride for tomorrow night's visit of Queens Park Rangers at the Liberty Stadium (7.45).

The R's sit just outside the play-offs on goal difference and returned to winning ways in the Championship at the weekend with a 2-1 home success against bottom side Nottingham Forest.

And El Gaffer believes that Iain Dowie's side are going to come to south west Wales and look to play football as they bid for a return to the top-flight after 12 years of exile.

"I think QPR are going to be one of the teams to beat this campaign," said Roberto ahead of the first league clash between the sides since 1981.

"It'll be a great test against one of the big hitters at Championship level.

"They have an experienced manager, good players and financial muscle. I think the direction of that football club is clearly the Premiership but how long it is going to take for them to get there we don't know.

"But they are the sort of side we are going to face at the Liberty Stadium - a very strong team physically, difficult to compete against and one that will come here looking for the three points."

The 35-year-old said earlier in the season that he was surprised by the opposition that had graced the Liberty Stadium turf during the early weeks of the Championship and their negative style of play, but that is not what he is expecting from the Loftus Road side.

"I think QPR will play the same way they have everywhere that they've been. It's a team that is very hard to beat, they don't concede cheaply and it's one of the sides that you have to be really on top of your game if you want to get anything out of it.

"It's going to be another big occasion for us at the Liberty Stadium and it's going to be a completely different opposition that we had against Ipswich. We need to show that we are ultra dimensional and that we can compete against anyone in this division.

"It's going to be a huge test but one we're really looking forward to."

The Swans are unbeaten in five Championship matches, and eight overall, at home so far this term and Roberto has called on the fans to get behind the team and cheer on them on to another three points.

"At home we have to be ourselves and the fans play a huge part," he added.

"If they can replicate a little bit of the atmosphere we had against Wolves it will give us that extra yard and little bit extra of advantage against anyone you're playing against.

"We want to carry on where we left off against Ipswich. We don't play for stats, we play for ourselves and what is important is that I've seen the players getting stronger and getting better in every game which is a great sign."
