Big Den extends Crewe stay
Swansea City defender Dennis Lawrence has extended his loan at Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old's initial spell at Alexandra Stadium was due to end but new boss Gudjon Thordarson was keen to extend his stay in Cheshire, starting on January 1 (Thursday) and continuing until Alex's final game of the season at home against Leicester on May 2.
Dennis played a key role in the Swans' League One title success last season, playing 40 times in the league, but found it hard to break into the starting eleven this campaign due to the successful defensive partnership of Garry Monk and Ashley Williams.

The Trinidad & Tobago international was limited to just one start, against Brentford in the Carling Cup back in August, before linking-up with the Railwaymen on September 30.
His debut came in the 3-1 home defeat against Northampton three days later and since then has made a total of 11 appearances for League One's bottom club.
