Bussy at the double against Swindon

Posted on: Tue 20 Jan 2009

Swansea City's second string went down to a 6-3 defeat at Swindon Town in their latest totesport.com Combination fixture.

Owain Tudur Jones skippered the side and the Welsh international was one of seven first-team squad members in the starting eleven alongside the likes of Dimi Konstantopoulos, Shaun MacDonald, Guillem Bauza and Fede Bessone who played his first match since early December.

Chad Bond and Chris Jones also started at the County Ground while the remainder of the side was made of scholars.

It was the visitors that broke the deadlock early on as Jamie Vincent grounded Guillem Bauza inside the area, the striker picked himself up to convert the penalty but Swindon were soon on level terms as skipper Callum Kennedy converted from Chris Allen's corner.

Bauza scored his second of the night on 15 minutes after he was picked out by Shaun MacDonald and Colin Pascoe's side held on until half-time.

The lead, however, lasted until just after the re-start when Allen found the net and Swindon were in front by the 54th minute when trialist Hamdi Razak connected with Lloyd Macklin's cross.

Frenchman Razak, who had also been on trial at Dover Athletic, was certainly making an impression at the County Ground as he struck a further two goals to complete his hat-trick in the closing stages.

Chad Bond did pull it back to 5-3 with a strike from close-range after good work by MacDonald but Swindon went straight down the other end to add a sixth and final goal courtesy of Sean Morrison.
