Colin Pascoe named a side mixed with youth and experience for the final home game of the season against Forest Green.
Senior squad members Kristian O'Leary, Chris Jones, Tom Butler and Guillem Bauza started alongside four scholars and a further three under-16's.
A young Forest Green side started brightly and were causing problems with their pacy front line, and with nine minutes played Dave Cornell was forced into making a fine double save from Majeed Waris.
Tom Butler sent a free-kick wide moments later while David Accam also shot off target, but it was the visitors that broke the deadlock just after the half-hour with Waris firing low past Cornell from inside the area.
Guillem Bauza offered an immediate response when he came close but Butler had better luck three minutes before the break when his angled shot lifted over the top of 'keeper James Nortei.
Spectators at the GenQuip Stadium were in for a treat at the start of the second period as David Accam came increasingly close to restoring Forest Green's lead on two occasions but it was the Swans that struck first on 49 minutes through Chris Jones.
Tom Butler hit the bar and Bauza saw his shot blocked before under-16 defender Matthew Whatley drove the ball past the 'keeper from the edge of the area with 56 minutes played.
Chris Jones scored his second just after the hour, heading past Nortei from a Butler cross, and the Swans looked in control.
Two goals in three minutes, however, saw the visitors claw themselves back into this contest with substitute Isaac Shaze and Waris cutting the deficit to 4-3.
But with 12 minutes remaining Joe Harris scored a fifth and that's the way it stayed until the end.
The only down side to the evening were the injuries picked up by Guillem Bauza (leg), forced off 20 minutes from time, and youngster Jordan Smith (foot) who was stretchered off near the end.
