Swansea City will kick off their new Championship campaign at promoted Leicester City on Saturday, August 8.

You'll have to go back almost 30 years for the last time Swansea City played at Leicester in a league fixture.

It was a Second Division fixture at Filbert Street in February 1980 when player/boss John Toshack was on target for the visitors in a 1-1 draw.

Martin Henderson was on target for the Foxes that afternoon en route to lifting the league title.

Other notable fixtures has Welsh rivals Cardiff City first up at the Liberty on Saturday, November 7, with a return to the Bluebirds' new stadium scheduled for Saturday, April 3.

The Swans make the long trip to Newcastle United on Saturday, November 28, with the Magpies due for their first trip to Liberty Stadium on Saturday, February 13.

The popular Christmas and New Year period sees the Swans travelling to Reading on Boxing Day, with Crystal Palace visiting Swansea on Monday, December 28.

The FA Cup third round will once again take precedence on Saturday, January 2.

The Swans will be home once again on the final day of the campaign, with Doncaster the visitors on Sunday, May 2.
