Paulo Sousa had the first chance to look at his squad this morning as they returned for pre-season training.
The new Swans boss met with the players at the club's Llandarcy base and spoke to them as a group before overseeing their first training session in the sunshine.
Sousa opted to watch over the session undertaken by Colin Pascoe, Alan Curtis, Ailsa Jones and new assistant Bruno Oliveira in order to get a better picture of his squad.
Goalkeeper Dorus de Vries also took part and it is understood that he is getting closer to agreeing a new deal at the club.
"It was nice to have our first session together," said former Champions League winner Sousa.
"You could see the players were keen to come back and a number of them said that they were getting bored during the summer."
