Swans XI held at Garden Village

Posted on: Fri 07 Aug 2009

A Swansea City XI completed their pre-season campaign with a 2-2 draw at Garden Village tonight.

Tony Pennock took a young side to Stafford Common and they enjoyed a fine start as defender Joe Walsh put the visitors in front.

But the Welsh League First Division outfit battled back and levelled through Sam Brown before Ashley Richards put them in the driving seat.

The side from Kingsbridge, near Gorseinon, wasted a chance to go further in front as Rhys Wilson saved a penalty before Lee Lucas struck to make it 2-2.
