Nathan Dyer has echoed Paulo Sousa's view and believes that there are goals in the Swansea City side.
Yesterday's goalless draw at Barnsley extended the Swans' non-goalscoring run to three matches despite creating a large number of chances.
But Dyer, one of the star performers at Oakwell, insists that the goals will come.
"I don't know why the goals aren't coming but when we do get one they will soon start to flow again," said the 21-year-old summer signing from Southampton.
"It's still early days and all we can do is just keep playing our game.
"It's just the goals that are lacking - our performances are good but I'm sure that when the next goal goes in we'll start scoring more."
The game in South Yorkshire saw Ferrie Bodde continue with his return from long term injury while another midfielder, Tom Butler, also returned.
He played 45 minutes of the reserve team friendly at Bristol Rovers in midweek and the quarter of an hour he had at Barnsley was his first piece of competitive action since May.
"Hopefully I can make up for lost time and show the manager what I can do," added the 28-year-old Dubliner.
