Kuqi warning ahead of Palace clash
Shefki Kuqi has warned that the Swans should not underestimate administration-hit Crystal Palace as they prepare for tomorrow night's Selhurst Park showdown (8pm).
Swansea City's newest recruit ended a three-year association with the south London club only eight months ago and says that it would be wrong to think that the Eagles players' performances will be affected by their financial hardship.
Palace were deducted 10 points as a result of going into administration, dropping to the lower reaches of the Championship table in the process, but Kuqi believes that his former employers will continue to battle on.
"As a group if we think that Crystal Palace will have administration playing on their minds it will be the wrong idea," said the 33-year-old Finnish international.
"We have to focus 100 per cent and try and go there and perform as good as we can because it is one of the toughest places to go and play.
"I know the players and I know the manager and they will be up for it.
"If they didn't get the 10 point deduction they would still be in the play-offs and that tells you everything."

The striker will be hoping for a third appearance in the black and white of Swansea following showings off the bench against Coventry and Preston.
It will also be his first visit back to Selhurst Park since leaving the club in the summer to join German second tier side TuS Koblenz.
Kuqi joined the club for a reported fee of £2.5m from Blackburn in 2006 and during his three-year stay, which also included loan spells at Fulham and Ipswich, he found the net 18 times in 83 appearances.
He added: "It will be nice going back there.
"I was at Crystal Palace for a long time, I still know a lot of people there so it will be good to see them again.
"But hopefully we can go there with the aim of coming back with three points."
