Mark Gower insists that the disappointment at losing against Nottingham Forest will not play on the minds of the players when they take on Watford tomorrow night (7.45pm).
The Swans suffered a harsh defeat at the hands of promotion rivals Forest on Saturday when Luke Chambers headed an injury-time winner at the City Ground.
And Gower, who started only his second game since late October at the weekend, believes that minds will be fully focussed on the task at Vicarage Road.
"I don't think it [losing at Forest] will affect us," said the 31-year-old.
"It's not like we went there and played badly, we dug in and if it wasn't for a couple of decisions we could have come away with a win.
"There were a lot of positives to come out of that game and hopefully we can take them into Tuesday night."
Watford currently occupy 17th spot in the Championship, are two points above the relegation zone and go into this game on the back of defeats against Newcastle and Derby.
The Swans will be looking to get back on track following their East Midlands reverse and head to Watford seeking a first win at Vicarage Road since 1978.
But Gower realises that it won't be an easy night for his side.
"It will be a tough game," he added.
"Watford's pitch isn't one of the greatest for passing but we have shown we can mix it the other way by scrapping and getting the three points that way and hopefully we can get a result."
