Dutch midfielder Cedric van der Gun is determined to make up for lost time - starting with Swansea City's Championship clash at Watford tonight (7.45pm).
He made his first appearance in two months at Nottingham Forest on Saturday as a second-half substitute after recovering from a troublesome hamstring injury.
The Dutchman turned in an impressive display and is hoping to get the nod from Swans boss Paulo Sousa to start at Vicarage Road.
"It felt good to play again at Forest,'' explained the former Ajax, Den Haag, Utrecht and Borussia Dortmund striker. "I thought the 45 minutes went well for me.
"Unfortunately, we lost a game I felt we should have won.''
With Watford just two points above the relegation zone, van der Gun knows it's not going to be easy at Vicarage Road as the injury-hit Swans look to increase their points tally over a busy month to keep their play-off hopes alive.
"Every game is going to be difficult between now and the end of the season. There are a lot of good teams in this league - and Watford are no different.
"It's a difficult pitch up there and their position in the league means it's going to be a real battle for us.
"But we feel confident.''
