We're chasing the teams above - Monk
Garry Monk has sent out a warning to the teams above the Swans as they continue on the promotion trail against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (3pm).
The club captain said that while one eye is being kept on the teams that sit behind Paulo's Swans they still have the likes of West Brom and Nottingham Forest in their sights.
But first up is the test against Alan Irvine's Owls and Monk, who has been out since last month with a calf injury, knows that one of his former sides will provide a difficult test.
"We want to chase the teams above us," Monk exclusively told Swans Player.
"You have one eye on the teams behind you but we're focussing on catching the teams above.
"We want to make sure that we win as many games as possible, we've got West Brom on Tuesday but Saturday is the biggest test for us right now.
"Sheffield Wednesday are in a difficult position in the league and that's what makes these games hard. They're scrapping for their lives so we have to be at our best."
