It's been a frustrating 2010 for Craig Beattie.
The Scottish striker has featured just six times since the New Year courtesy of a toe injury and last Tuesday's match at Watford saw him start in the Championship for the first time since mid-December.
But after appearing from the off against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend he is well and truly back in contention for the big push until the end of the season.
"The last couple of months have been really frustrating for me," explained Beattie.
"I got off to a good start when I moved from West Brom, which made it even more frustrating when I had to sit it out on the sidelines.
"But that's football for you. It has a habit of kicking you in the teeth.
"The boys have done really well without me though. I was pleased about that because they are a good bunch here. They made it really easy for me to fit in when I first arrived."
The 26-year-old switched from the Hawthorns to the Liberty Stadium back in August for what was then a club record fee paid of £500,000 and it wasn't long before he returned to haunt his own club.

Beattie started at the Liberty for the first time in three months against Sheffield Wednesday |
It was a cold Tuesday night back in October when he struck in the second-half to clinch an important three points for the Swans against the Baggies.
And while Beattie will be hopeful of some action against his former employers he still has good memories of the club that signed him from Celtic for £1.25m.
"There was no animosity when I left and I wished them all of the best for the rest of the season,' he recalled.
"I wasn't playing for West Brom as often as I would have liked, so the reason I joined the Swans was for footballing reasons. I was still sad at leaving West Brom though.
"They were always going to be one of the favourites to go back up this season. They have a strong squad with quality players."
A full interview with Craig Beattie is also available to watch on Swans Player.
