The long wait is over as npower Championship football returns to the Liberty Stadium today with the visit of Preston North End (3pm).

New boss Brendan Rodgers will get his first taste of the electrical atmosphere on offer in south west Wales as he bids to get a first league win under his belt.

Last weekend's opening day defeat at Hull came as a disappointment but the boys bounced back to cast Barnet aside in the Carling Cup, and Rodgers is hopeful that the 3-0 win will breed confidence in his side.

Angel Rangel could return from his thigh injury to face the Lilywhites while Scott Sinclair (below) is set to make his debut in a Swansea City shirt.
