Charlie Kasler struck a second-half double as the youth started their season with a 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
The former Watford youngster (pictured) twice fired past visiting 'keeper Sam Butler after Kurtis March had put the Swans ahead to give the hosts a 3-0 advantage at the break.
Defender Matthew Whatley added the fourth in the second-half but Tyrone Rhoden did pull one back for the Pirates late on.
It was an emphatic start to the campaign considering that Tony Pennock was without a number of players through injury and international duty.
One of which was goalkeeper Ashley Elsey but his Under-16 replacement, Oliver Davies, put in a composed performance and kept Rovers at bay when they pressed in the second period.
"It was a good performance," said Pennock.
"We scored three good goals before half-time but weren't as fluent in the second-half against a youthful Bristol Rovers side.
"We improved late on, added a fourth but it was disappointing not to keep a clean sheet. But all credit to Oliver Davies he made some very important saves."
Young striker James Loveridge is on Wales Under-17 duty this week and he started today's 1-1 friendly draw in Estonia.
There was also a place in Brian Flynn's side for Under-15 defender Tom Atyeo who has already played above his age group in the club's Centre of Excellence.
Wales play another game against Estonia on Wednesday as preparation for next month's Uefa qualifiers.
