Kerry Morgan returns to Newport on loan

Posted on: Fri 20 Aug 2010

Swans youngster Kerry Morgan will return to Newport County on loan until the New Year.

The 21-year-old forward spent the majority on loan with the Spytty Park club last season as they romped to the Blue Square South league title.

And he will link-up again with manager Dean Holdsworth, a one-time Swansea City loanee, as they attempt to make their mark in the Blue Square Premier.

The Exiles kicked-off their campaign with a 1-0 loss at Darlington last weekend but held Tamworth to a draw in midweek; Morgan will go straight into the squad for Saturday's home game against Histon.

The Merthyr Tydfil product made five senior appearances for the Swans in August of last year - including a start against Reading when Brendan Rodgers was in charge - before going on to score seven goals in 32 games for Newport.

He also played 74 minutes of the Carling Cup opening round victory against Barnet.
