Dorus: 'We want to make it tough at Liberty'

Posted on: Thu 26 Aug 2010

Dorus de Vries is hopeful that the Swans can turn the Liberty into a fortress this season.

The Dutchman has already kept two clean sheets at home this season as his side have put seven goals past Barnet (3-0) and Preston (4-0) in total.

And now with Burnley set to visit south west Wales on Saturday he wants to carry that early season form into the weekend.

But de Vries acknowledges that the Clarets will pose a tougher test than their Lancashire rivals.

"They're a great side and a team with individual quality," said the goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Swans Player.

"They are one of the top favourites to go back up but we are at home and lookingforward to the game.

"We gained a lot of confidence after winning at Tranmere and we just have to trust in our own ability.

"It will be a great challenge and hopefully we will build on our last win at the Liberty against Preston.

"We want to make our home a fortress and make us hard to beat. If we play our stuff and have great belief in our ability we can do that."

You can watch the full interview with Dorus on Swans Player later today.
