Swans trio named in Wales U-19 squad

Swansea City's impressive record of Wales international call-ups continue with three named in the latest Under-19 squad.

Brian Flynn has named Joe Walsh (pictured), Daniel Alfei - who is currently away with the Under-21's - and Lee Lucas have been included for the friendly game in Liechtenstein on September 14.

Second-year scholar Kurtis March has been placed on stand-by for the young Dragons who use this game as preparation for the Uefa qualifiers next month.

Wales will host the qualifying group which consists of Iceland, Kazakhstan and Turkey, with games taking place at Llanelli, Bridgend and Haverfordwest.

The Swans currently have six youngsters in the Under-21 squad for the forthcoming qualifiers while Ashley Williams and David Cotterill are in the senior squad for tomorrow's match in Montenegro.

* Swansea City's youth team made it three wins on the bounce when they beat Plymouth Argyle 3-1 in midweek.

It was the first match of the Youth Alliance Cup group and it followed up victories against Bristol Rovers and Hereford.
