Neil Taylor believes the FA Cup can boost the Swans' Premier League campaign this season.
The focus switches to cup competition this Saturday with the Swans heading to Bolton in the fourth round.
The trip to the Reebok Stadium offers a brief break from league duty as the Swans return to top-flight action on Tuesday night with Chelsea visiting the Liberty.
But Wales international Taylor believes the tournament will only help - not hinder - the Swans' league campaign.
"Of course, Premier League survival is always going to be the main priority, but when you are in a cup you want to stay in it," he said. "Every game you play in, you want to win.
"You can see from the last round that we are taking it very seriously. We gained momentum after the win at Barnsley so we will look for the same from this game.
"With the squad we have, there is strength in depth here so it doesn't matter who plays the gaffer knows what he will get."
