Kristian O'Leary made his Leyton Orient debut from the substitutes' bench in Friday's 3-0 defeat at Southend.
The midfielder, who turned 32 last week, came on to replace Adam Chambers 21 minutes from time with the score already at 1-0.
Within nine minutes of him entering the Roots Hall surface the home side bagged a second to put them on the driving seat.
O'Leary joined the League One club on Monday for a month and featured for an hour in a midweek reserve fixture for the O's.
His involvement at Southend was his first in the league since March 2008 when he played just over an hour in the 2-1 home defeat by Millwall.
Two of the club's youngsters will be in action in the Welsh Premier this weekend; Keiran Howard is expected to make his Neath debut at Porthmadog while Jamie Grimes' Haverfordwest face a 300-mile round trip to play Airbus UK Broughton on Sunday.
