It also sent the Swans five points clear at the top.

Swansea made one change to the side that went top of the league with a 4-1 win over Cheltenham on Boxing Day with striker Jason Scotland replacing Guillem Bauza up front.
They faced a Leeds side in third place having staged a remarkable recovery from their 15-point deduction at the start of the season.
With an electric atmosphere at a sold out Liberty Stadium, Leeds' Andy Hughes found himself in the referee's notebook for a foul on Angel Rangel after just six minutes.
And it was from another foul on Andy Robinson by Alan Thompson that led to Swansea taking a ninth minute lead.
With Swansea winning a free-kick 25-yards out, Robinson curled a superb effort into the top corner.
Within three minutes though and Leeds were level when a poor header back from Dennis Lawrence failed to reach Dorus de Vries and Jermaine Beckford lobbed the ball home from an acute angle.
It was an unbelievable start to the game which finally settled down a bit with 15 minutes gone.
Swansea were struggling to find their normal space in the middle of the park as Leeds packed the midfield looking for Beckford and Kandol up front at every opportunity.
But the goals kept coming. Swansea won a corner which Paul Anderson delivered to the front post were skipper Garry Monk arrived to deliver a tremendous header to give the Swans a 2-1 lead with 23 minutes gone.
Swansea were flying now as Leeds found himself on the ropes as Robinson forced Casper Ankergren into a save. As the ball spun out of his grasp, Scotland followed up only to send the ball over the bar.
But the game had another twist as Ferrie Bodde found himself sent-off in the 37th minute for a challenge on Jonathan Howson. Referee Andre Marriner adjudged Bodde to have followed through with a stamp as the Leeds players all surrounded the man in the middle. Howson was stretchered off.
Swansea finished the half on a high, however, as Jason Scotland put the Swans 3-1 ahead five minutes into injury time. Scotland latched on to a long clearance from Paul Anderson before showing too much strength and pace for Rui Marques before applying a cool finish for a fantastic goal.
Half-time: Swans 3 Leeds 1
Within two minutes of the second half though and Leeds had pulled it back to 3-2 when skipper Alan Thompson curled a 25-yard free-kick beyond de Vries and into the top corner.
Two minutes later and it could have been 3-3 as Thompson found himself with another free-kick from a similar distance. This time his effort struck the post.
Swansea weren't going to surrender without a fight though as Leon Britton and Robinson combined well before Robinson fired just over.
It was the home side who were doing most of the defending, however, before Anderson nearly hit them on the break as he pulled back a ball for Robinson whose goal-bound shot was blocked.
Swansea weathered the storm well though and came back strong as Andersen and Angel Rangel worked well down the right, forcing Ian Westlake into a yellow card for a foul on Rangel with 66 minutes gone.
Westlake was replaced by striker Tore Andre Flo a minute later as Swansea prepared for the aerial onslaught.
Roberto Martinez responded by bringing on Guillem Bauza for Scotland who received a huge round of applause for his efforts.
Tom Butler soon followed him from the bench in place of Robinson with 16 minutes remaining. Again Robinson received a standing ovation.
Then Curtis Weston replaced Carole with 13 minutes remaining after Rangel was booked for a foul on Andy Hughes.
Butler was soon in the action as he cut inside to force a save out of Ankergen.
The substitutions kept coming as Swansea looked to take the sting out of the game with Alan Tate coming on to bolster the defence in place of Anderson with just six minutes remaining.
Butler again came close inthe 88th minute with a shot which scraped the outside the far post.
