A late brace from striker Kevin Phillips condemned the Swans to a first home league defeat of the Championship season.
The home side led twice through goals from Jordi Gomez, after just 90 seconds, and a Liam Ridgewell own goal and went into the half-time break 2-1 to the good.
But a Kevin Phillips leveller on 74 minutes and a well hit strike five minutes later, after capitalising on a defensive mistake, ensured that the points would return to the West Midlands.
To cap off a disappointing evening for the hosts, midfielder Ferrie Bodde had to be taken off with a knee injury in the latter stages of the first-half.
There was just one change to the Swansea side that triumphed over Norwich as Gorka Pintado camein to replace Jason Scotland in attack.
The Trinidad striker only returned from the Carribean yesterday and he was joined on the bench by Dorus de Vries who was back four weeks after his injury against Queens Park Rangers.

Friday night football returned to the Liberty Stadium and the home fans were given something to cheer about early on as the Swans took the lead with just 90 seconds on the clock.
Federico Bessone used his pace to take the ball down the left-hand side, beat his man to the byline and cross low into the heart of the area where Jordi Gomez stabbed home from close-range.
Moments later and the home side pressed for a second; Ferrie Bodde picked out Gorka Pintado with a pin point pass as he ran towards goal, El Toro took it the right-hand side of the area and crossed to the feet of Mark Gower, the winger made contact but couldn't hit the target.
The Blues rallied and came close when Scottish international James McFadden fired over, but with 15 minutes played the Swans had a great opportunity to go two up. Mark Gower's fine threaded pass picked out Pintado on his goalbound run and with just 'keeper Maik Taylor to beat he struck the ball straight at the Northern Ireland international. The Spanish striker was through again moments later, following Garry Monk's pass, but he put too much weight on his first touch and it ran straight through to Taylor.
Pintado came even closer with his next effort on 25 minutes; a fine piece of trickery from Leon Britton picked out Fede Bessone on the left, his first time cross when met by a low header from the former Grenada front-man and it bounced back off the post.
The Swans suffered a major blow shortly before half-time as midfieler Ferrie Bodde was taken off on a stretcher. The extent of the injury wasn't known at the time but coming on to replace the Dutchman was Guillem Bauza who slotted in behind Gorka Pintado.
Things got even worse with three minutes left on the clock as the Blues clawed their way back into this contest. On loan defender Nicky Hunt found space wide on the left and his high cross into the area found its way to the back post where Marcus Bent was there to head into the net.
Leon Britton shot inches wide on the stroke of half-time but as we went into time added on Angel Rangel sparked into life as he went charging down the right with the aid of Jordi Gomez's flick, he carried on with his run and crossed into a crowded area; defenders Nicky Hunt and Liam Ridgewell attempted to clear their lines but it took a deflection off the latter and crossed the line for an own goal.
Both sides had attack on the brain as they re-appeared for the second period but it was a couple of half chances that were the closest we got to seeing a fourth goal of the night.
The first fell to Blues skipper Lee Carsley who struck a fierce shot just wide of Konstantopoulos' goal, while Darren Pratley was given room to shoot on the hour but he was also unable to find the target.
A fine ball into the area from substitute Kemy Agustein found Seb Larsson who shot across the face of goal and just past the post while Mark Gower came close to scoring his first Swansea goal but was denied by Maik Taylor.
Birmingham equalised first time around with a headed goal from a right-sided cross, with 16 minutes remaining they were back in this game for a second time with a headed goal from a left-sided cross. James McFadden was the man who whipped the ball into the area and there to meet it was sub Kevin Phillips whose effort nestled neatly in the corner of the net.
And two become three five minutes later for Birmingham as they went in front. Ashley Williams hesitated in clearing his lines, his eventual clearance deflected off the back of a Blues player and landed at the feet of Kevin Phillips, he took a touch and unleashed an unstoppable shot past Konstantopoulos.
Substitute Jason Scotland had two chances as the game drew to a close, the first a free-kick that went well wide of the target and a snap-shot that fell wide of the Birmingham goal.
It was a disappointing evening for the home side who fell to their first home league defeat of the season.
