new faces for pre-season

Swansea City are back in the hunt for Mark Gower as they prepare to welcome four new recruits on day one of pre-season training.
Seven-and-a-half weeks after they lifted the League One trophy, Roberto Martinez's men begin gearing up for a first crack at English football's second tier in 24 years with fresh faces on board.
Definitely wearing Swansea colours for the first time at tomorrow's opening session will be striker Gorka Pintado and playmaker Jordi Gomez.
Also expected are defender Albert Serran, who is poised to sign a three-year Liberty Stadium deal after being allowed to leave Espanyol, as well as an Argentinian defensive midfield player.
Martinez is also closing in on a third new recruit, but he seems unlikely to be involved right from the outset of Swansea's pre-season.
And speculation is mounting that Southend wideman Gower is the man on Martinez's radar.
The Swansea boss confessed to being a fan of the 29-year-old last month, only for talk of a move to go cold.
But the Evening Post understands Martinez is due to meet Gower to discuss a switch to the Liberty Stadium.
Out of contract at Southend, former Spurs youngster Gower has been offered a new Roots Hall deal and is also believed to be a target for Blackpool.
"We are very well advanced with three players," Martinez said.
"With two of them it's just a matter of getting the medicals done and then, hopefully, we will be able to present them on Thursday.
"Jordi and Gorka will be here. We expect two other new signings as well, while there is a little bit of a situation with the third one so we may have to wait a little while longer.
"The new lads all play in positions we have been trying to strengthen and we're glad we've got the players we wanted."
Martinez still hopes to bolster his squad further by re-signing Paul Anderson and Febian Brandy on loan.
After that, Swansea may need a replacement for wanted man Ferrie Bodde, while a goalkeeper could well be on their wish list with doubts over the future of out-of-contract youngster David Knight.
Dennis Lawrence and Jason Scotland will be missing when Swansea meet up tomorrow.
The duo have been given additional time off by Martinez having been on international duty with Trinidad & Tobago over the summer.
"They are going to have an extra period of rest," he added. "Dennis, in particular, needs a chance to switch off because he's only really had a break of one week.
"Depending on how fresh they both are, they will join the group at some stage before we go to Sweden on July 6."
