Pride and joy

Roberto Martinez spelled out his pride in Swansea City after his team came out on top in a thrilling South Wales derby.Spaniard Jordi Gomez's second-half free-kick proved decisive as Swansea saw off their arch rivals to book a place in round four of the Carling Cup.
It was a pulsating night at the Liberty Stadium, perhaps the most memorable yet since Swansea said farwell to Vetch Field three years ago.
''I'm pleased for the fans because I know how much this result this means to them,'' Martinez said.
''I'm pleased with the way the players performed. There are a lot of inexperienced players in our squad but, after a difficult first 20 minutes, they got to grips with the occasion and were able to express themselves. I am delighted about that.
''And I'm proud of the atmosphere we had at the Liberty Stadium.

''This was a special night and a great experience. It fulfilled all my expectations.''
Opposite number Dave Jones accepted that Swansea had deserved to triumph in the first meaningful derby since 1999.
''We are all very disappointed,'' the Cardiff boss said.
''We let ourselves down, we didn't play as we can do and Swansea deserved their victory.
''It was probably our worst performance of the season. We lost our shape and our discipline and we've no complaints.''
One dampener for Swansea was a groin injury which forced Mark Gower off in the second half, though Martinez did not think the injury was too serious.
