Darren signed for the Swans in the summer of 2006 for £100,000 from Premiership Fulham on a three-year-contract.
The midfielder, who graduated through Fulham's Academy ranks after joining from Arsenal, also captained Fulham's Reserve side before making his first team debut as a 19-year-old in the Carling Cup in September 2003.
He went on to make an appearance in the League game against Charlton at The Valley in November of the same year.
Spent a season on loan at Brentford before going on to skipper the Swans last season following the long-term injury to Garry Monk.
Missed the end of last season with a shoulder injury.
