The Swans signed the highly-rated winger from Premier League champions Chelsea in August 2010 on a three-year deal for an initial £500,000, although the figure increased to around £1.5m after he helped secure the club Premier League status for the first time.
The 21-year-old worked under Swans boss Brendan Rodgers at Chelsea, a crucial factor in securing his signature ahead of other interested clubs.
Born in Bath, Sinclair joined Bristol Rovers as a nine year old before making his first team debut at the age of 15 against Leyton Orient.
It prompted Chelsea to sign him up in July 2005 for a tribunal fixed compensation fee of £200,000, plus extras and a 15 per cent sell-on clause on any transfer profit.
The England Under-21 international made five Premier League appearances and eight in the cups for the Blues and impressed on loan at QPR, Charlton, Crystal Palace, Plymouth, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic.

Scott had a scintillating season for the Swans as he finished his first full campaign of regular football as top scorer with 22 league goals - and 27 in all competitions.
Having been named in the PFA team of the year, he finished a remarkable season off in style by grabbing a famous hat-trick in the play-off final victory over Reading at Wembley that saw the Swans become the first Welsh side in the Premier League.
He also went on to represent England Under-21s in the European Championship finals in Denmark in the summer.
