Albert Serran became the Swans' sixth summer signing when he made the £80,000 switch from Espanyol B in July 2008.
The central defender, who played twice in La Liga before continuing his development with Espanyol B, signed a long-term contract with the club to further add to the Swans' Spanish contingent.
Serran was a team-mate of Guillem Bauza, Federico Bessone and Jordi Gomez at the Barcelona club.
