Swansea City completed the signing of Austrian front-man Besian Idrizaj on a two-year deal in August and he made his debut in the Carling Cup defeat against Scunthorpe.
Idrizaj played for FC Eilenburg in the German Regional League last term and, despite the club's best efforts to to obtain international clearance in time for him to feature at Coventry, he had to wait until the Monday before the move was ratified.
Idrizaj, who has the option of extending his deal depending on the number of appearances he makes, started his career at LASK Linz in 2003 where he scored three goals in 35 appearances.
His performances during the second season at the Linzer Stadion saw him pick up Austria's Young Player of the Year award and prompted Liverpool to swoop for his signature in 2005.
He never played a first-team game for the Reds; his first full season on Merseyside was hit by injury but in July 2007 he did score a hat-trick in a friendly at Wrexham in the space of just 26 minutes.
However, he does have Championship experience from loan spells at Luton Town (2006/07) and Crystal Palace (2007/08).
The Baden-born youngster, who stands at 6' 2", struck once in seven appearances at Kenilworth Road but failed to find the net in seven games for Palace.
He was loaned out again in January 2008 to Austrian club Wacker Innsbruck but at the end of the campaign was released by Liverpool.
Idrizaj has represented his country at Under-21 level and has scored three times in 12 international matches.
