The young Merthyr-born striker has come through the club's junior ranks to secure his first pro contract at the club.

Had a successful pre-season tour of Holland with the first-team at the start of the 2007/08 campaign where his pace and eye for goal shone through.

He made six appearances for Swedish side Ostersunds FK on loan during the summer of 2007 before going on to score nine goals, including two successive hat-tricks, in 15 appearances for Welsh Premier League outfit Port Talbot Town.

In March 2008 he was loaned out to Southern League Premier Division side Clevedon Town for further experience and bagged one goal in eight appearances at Hand Stadium.

At the beginning of the 2008/09 campaign he was loaned out again, this time to Neath FC in the Welsh Premiership, and in the New Year had his deal at The Gnoll extended until the end of the season.

During his time with the Eagles he made 36 appearances in all competitions and scored 12 goals.

Kerry made his Swans bow in the Carling Cup win over Brighton and started his first game seven days later against Reading.
