Gorka Pintado joined the club from Granada in June 2008 in a deal worth around £100,000 plus further additions.
Known as the Spanish Bull, Pintado was captain of the Segunda Division B outfit and scored 52 goals in three seasons at Nuevo Las Carmenes.
The experienced striker signed a long-term, performance-related deal with the club and made a huge impact in the opening matches.
He scored his first goal in the win over Nottingham Forest after coming off the bench and did the same in the Carling Cup second round tie against Hull City.
A player who is strong and good in the air, he made a total of 45 appearances in all competitions - mainly from the bench - and scored seven goals including the equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Cardiff in November 2008.
