Promising defender Joe Walsh was first drafted into the first-team squad for the match at Derby in February 2010 as cover following the late injury sustained by Garry Monk.
And despite not making the final 18-man squad at Pride Park the 18-year-old still benefited from the experience of travelling with the team and warming-up prior to the match.
A left-back who can also play at the heart of the defence, Cardiff-born Walsh joined the Swans as an under-16 player after previously playing for Cardiff College Celts.
In his first season he helped the Swans to FAW Youth Cup glory against his hometown club, Cardiff City, at their old Ninian Park ground.
Joe has senior experience over the past three seasons by playing for the reserves and made his first team debut at left-back in the Carling Cup against Barnet on August 10, 2010.
His next appearance came in the same competiton a year later as he started in the defeat to Shrewsbury Town.
