I'm pleased to say - while touching wood - that we will be going into the Christmas and New Year period with a squad that is virtually fully fit.

And with such a hectic schedule ahead of us, boy will we need every single one of them.

I'll be talking about our training and recovery programme over the festive and New Year period in the next programme, but spare a thought for the boys who will be training on Christmas Day while the rest of the country tucks into their turkey.

The only senior players not fit to figure in our thrilling FA Cup tie against Horsham last Monday were Owain Tudur Jones, Marcos Painter and captain sensible Garry Monk.

In no particular order, OTJ is due to see a specialist to get an update on his ankle injury.

While it has improved dramatically over the last few weeks, it's still a bit tender with him. He's been given air cast boot to help the joint recover, so I'm sure it won't be too long before he's finally back in action.

Marcos has been struggling with a hamstring strain, but he started back with light training over the weekend. He came through ok and will have a fitness test before being considered for this afternoon's contest.

Finally, Mr Monk. Garry had a MRI scan this week which confirmed a very mild strain around the groin area and hip joint.

He's progressed well this week, however, and is pushing hard to be considered for today's game.

The trio have been joined in the treatment room by youngsters Kyle Graves, Scott Evans and Kerry Morgan.

Kyle has been struggling with a hamstring injury, but we are hoping he will be available to come into contention for next week's FAW Premier Cup game against NewportCounty.

Scott is progressing well from the stress problem in his lower back and he is slowly easing his way back. He should be back on the training ground within two weeks and ready to start the New Year afresh.

Kerry has two weeks left before he can start functional training following his fractured collar bone.

Finally, I'm pleased to say that goalkeeper David Knight has fully recovered from his ankle ligament injury and is now available for selection.

Enjoy today's game and keep your fingers crossed for the boys.
